M/s Ramesh Metals, registered as a Special Class Contractor with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, was established in the year 1992 as a proprietary concern under the sole proprietorship of Sri Ramesh Movva, son of late Satyanarayana. The commercial activities of the firm were begun by establishing one stone crushing unit gradually increasing the number of units to 5 in different locations of the of the Goa State with an initial capital of Rs.5.00 Lakhs.

            The firm’s main activity had been the supply of stone ballast to Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., and stone aggregate for other civil construction purposes for about a year. Later on, the firm had taken up civil construction activities, executing Earthwork, Construction of Quarters, Minor Bridges and other protective works for the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd and South Central Railway, Goa Ship Yard Ltd etc., until the year 1999.

            In the year 1999, the firm had shifted its operations to Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh after obtaining a number of wok orders from the Irrigation Department of the Andhra Pradesh Govt. Since then the Firm has been operating from Vijayawada.

With a view to widen the capital base, the concern has been converted into a partnership firm from 01.04.2006 with Sri Ramesh Movva as Managing Partner and his life partner, Smt Ranga Lakshmi Movva as Partner. The turnover of the firm had grown from a modest Rs. 40.00 lakhs during the year 1994-95 to Rs.5038.00 Lakhs during the year 2020-21, while the capital has grown from Rs.5.00 lakhs to Rs.1211.00 Lakhs,.

            Though the firm is based in Vijayawada, the firm has been executing Civil Projects in many States of Union of India executed in Seven States. The firm was privileged to have amongst its customers, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., South Central Railway, South Western Railway, Department of Forests (Govt. of India), NRSA (Govt. of India) and the Departments of Irrigation and Public Health Engineering of the Andhra Pradesh Government. Presently the firm is executing some major works for South Central Railway and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd.

The firm has on its rolls a good team of managers, engineers and supervisors of both technical and non-technical nature and is equipped with an array of machinery like excavators, vibro-rollers, Multi Axial Tippers, dumpers, Mobile Concrete Mixers etc., all worth about Rs.10 Crores.
